Gunstone Hall pool

Gunstone Hall Pool is by far the most popular of all the club’s waters, with Albrighton Anglers members. It is located close to Codsall, this prolific fishery extends to 2 acres.

Gunstone is a mature fishery, tree lined with a central island, a deep pool with a maximum depth of 26ft, all pegs have access to deep water. Carp are the predominant species present, the pool has produced numbers of double figure fish up to 25lb+, but the average is between 4lb and 8lb, other species present are Pike to 30lb+, Bream, Tench, Chub, Perch, Roach and Rudd.

The huge numbers of carp in the lake results in exceptional sport for club members. Pleasure sessions resulting in over 100lb of fish are commonplace, with captures of 200lb+ far from rare. A couple of seasons ago two 3 hour friendly evening contests were held on the pool, both resulted in winning weights of over 200lb, the biggest 3 hour session weight topping 248lb, this venue can stand up against any commercial fishery in the area.

All members are allowed to night fish Gunstone, with junior members only able to do so when accompanied by a full or senior member. Members are not allowed to enter or leave the site between dusk and 6am.
